Miracle of memorizing the Holy Qur'an

Is it easy to memorize a book with 114 chapters and over 6000 verses in a foreign language?  What if you don't understand that language or can't read/write?!  Yet, millions of adults and children have memorized the Holy Qur'an over the past 1400 years.  Are they all forced to do it or they willingly choose to do it.  The Holy Qur'an clearly states that "there is no compulsion in religion".

لَآ إِكْرَاهَ فِى ٱلدِّينِ

قَد تَّبَيَّنَ ٱلرُّشْدُ مِنَ ٱلْغَىِّ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱسْتَمْسَكَ بِٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ لَا ٱنفِصَامَ لَهَا وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion.  The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing  2:256

Allah (SWT) has made the Holy Qur'an easy.  It is designed by Allah (SWT) for memorization and learning!  That is through patterns in the text, meanings, choice of unique words, tones, etc.  The verses are unique in Arabic literature.

فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded.   44:58

The Holy Qur'an is a miracle.  When it was revealed, the disbelievers claimed all sorts of things to discredit it, but even up to the present time they haven't been successful.  See the Challenge of Allah (SWT):

 أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِسُورَةٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ وَٱدْعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

Or do they say [about the Prophet], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a surah like it and call upon [for assistance]

whomever you can besides Allah , if you should be truthful."  10:38

قُل لَّئِنِ ٱجْتَمَعَتِ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِمِثْلِ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لَا يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا

Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it,

even if they were to each other assistants." 17:88
