Suras 17, Verse 1 points to Sura 53

Why is it important?  The story Night Journey is introduced in Sura 17:1.  Next, the story continues in Sura 53.  Therefore, Sura 17 and 53 are associated in terms of Night Journey.  Numbers, as we know them today, did not exist when the Holy Qur’an was revealed more than 1400 years ago. Instead, a standard Gematrical system had been implemented for different languages such as Arabic, Greek, etc. In this system, each letter of the alphabet is assigned a unique value. The system is called “Abjad numerals” for Arabic. For example, the Arabic letter “A” has a value of 1 and letter “D” has a value of 4. Below, please see the standard table of Arabic Gematrical values.

Now, let's examine Sura 17:1 which introduces the Night Journey and find its Gematrical value.

سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِۦ لَيْلًا مِّنَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْأَقْصَا

 ٱلَّذِى بَـٰرَكْنَا حَوْلَهُۥ لِنُرِيَهُۥ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ

“Exalted is He who took His true worshipper  (prophet) by night from the House of Worship (“al-Masjid al-Haram” in Mecca)

to the Remote House of Worship (“al-Masjid al-Aqsa” in Jerusalem), whose surroundings I have blessed, to show him of Our signs.

Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” 17:1

The sum of Gematrical values of Verse 17:1 (above) is 4717.

However, 4717 factorizes to     4717 = 53 x 89   

It is as if Verse 17:1 which introduces the Night Journey is pointing to Sura 53 where the rest of Night Journey is described!
