Ginger – There are total of 30 letters from the beginning of the verse to the end of the word for ginger (زَنجَبِيلًا)

وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلًا

While the vast majority of ginger (Zingiber officinale) varieties are diploid with 22 chromosomes (2n = 2x = 22), specific studies have identified certain varieties with a chromosome count of 2n = 30. 

Cytogenetic characterization of Indonesian ginger varieties has reported a somatic chromosome number of 2n = 30 for the following types: Giant Ginger (Zingiber officinale var. officinale): Also known as Jahe Gajah, this variety is noted for its large rhizomes and has been recorded with 30 chromosomes in specific research.

Small Ginger (Zingiber officinale var. amarum): Known as Jahe Emprit, this variety has also been documented with 2n = 30

Ants  – There are total of 16 letters from the beginning of the verse to the beginning of the Arabic word for ant ( ٱلنَّمْلِ )

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمْلُ

 ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مَسَـٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَـٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not." 27:18

While some male ants do have 16 chromosomes, the number varies widely across the thousands of ant species. Male Fire ants have 16 chromosomes.

Date Palm – Date Palm is mentioned in a couple of verses.  In the following verse, there are total of 26 letters from the beginning of the verse to the end of the word for date palm ( نَّخِيلٍ )

أَيَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ لَهُۥ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ

 وَأَصَابَهُ ٱلْكِبَرُ وَلَهُۥ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَآءُ فَأَصَابَهَآ إِعْصَارٌ فِيهِ نَارٌ فَٱحْتَرَقَتْ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Would one of you like to have a garden of palm trees and grapevines underneath which rivers flow in which he has from every fruit? But he is afflicted with old age and has weak offspring, and it is hit by a whirlwind containing fire and is burned. Thus does Allah make clear to you [His] verses that you might give thought. 2:266

The evolutionary dynamics of genomes are poorly understood in the Arecales (sensu stricto, i.e., the palms) and even more so for the Dasypogonales (Leitch et al. 2010). There is a 33-fold range in genome size across the palms, which typically harbor from 2n = 26–36 chromosomes, though Voanioala is a remarkable outlier with 2n = 596 (Johnson et al. 1989; Röser 1997). Leitch et al. (2010) compared genome sizes for each chromosome number class among palms, from 2n = 26–36 

Humans – Humans are mentioned in a couple of verses. In the following verse, there are total of 46 letters from the beginning of the verse to the beginning of the word for human ( ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ )

وَآتاكُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ ما سَأَلْتُمُوهُ وَ إِنْ تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ لا تُحْصُوها إِنَّ الْإِنْسانَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفّارٌ

Humans typically have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) in each cell. 

You inherit 23 chromosomes from your mother and 23 from your father.  22 of these pairs (44 chromosomes) are called autosomes, which look the same in both males and females. The 23rd pair determines biological sex. Typically, females have two X chromosomes (XX) and males have one X and one Y chromosome (XY).

Apes – Apes are mentioned in a couple of verses. In the following verse, there are total of 48 letters from the beginning of the verse to the end of the word for ape ( قِرَدَةً )

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱعْتَدَوْا۟ مِنكُمْ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا۟ قِرَدَةً خَـٰسِـِٔينَ

And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath,

Great apes—including chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans—have 48 chromosomes (24 pairs). This differs from humans, who have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) due to a prehistoric fusion of two ancestral chromosomes into one. 

Horses – Horses are mentioned in a couple of verses. In the following verse, there are total of 66 letters from the beginning of the verse to the end of the word for horse ( ٱلْخَيْلِ )

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلْبَنِينَ وَٱلْقَنَـٰطِيرِ ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلْفِضَّةِ وَٱلْخَيْلِ

Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. 3:14

Domestic horses (Equus caballus) have 64 chromosomes (32 pairs) in their somatic cells. These chromosomes contain the genetic information for the species. In contrast, other equids have different counts: donkeys have 62, and Przewalski's horses have 66.

Bees  – Bees are mentioned only in Verse 16:68 and they are magically tied to number 16! The Arabic word for honeybee " ٱلنَّحْلِ " is mentioned only once in (Sura 16) the Holy Qur'an. Verse 16:68 containing this word is listed below and is comprised of total of 16 words.

Honeybees have a unique, haplodiploid sex-determination system where chromosome numbers differ by sex. Female bees (queens and workers) are diploid, possessing 32 chromosomes (16 pairs), while male bees (drones) are haploid, having only 16 chromosomes. They inherit 16 chromosomes from the queen, with fertilization determining the sex.

Camel - Camels are mentioned in a couple of verses. In the following verse, there are total of 74 letters from the beginning of the verse to the beginning of the word for camel (جَمَلُ )

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآياتِنا وَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْها لا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوابُ السَّماءِ وَ

 لا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتّى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِياطِ وَ كَذلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ‏

Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals. 7:40

Camels have 74 chromosomes (or 37 pairs) in their diploid body cells, a number consistent across both Old World species: the one-humped Arabian camel (Camelus dromedarius) and the two-humped Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus). They are part of the Camelidae family, which generally share this same high diploid number.

Dog - Dogs are mentioned in a couple of verses. In the following verse, there are total of 78 letters from the end of the verse to the beginning of the word for dog (كَلْبِ)

ولَوْ شِئْنا لَرَفَعْناهُ بِها وَ لكِنَّهُ أَخْلَدَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ وَ اتَّبَعَ هَواهُ فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ

 الْكَلْبِ إِنْ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْهِ يَلْهَثْ أَوْ تَتْرُكْهُ يَلْهَثْ ذلِكَ

And if We had willed, we could have elevated him thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and followed his own desire. So his example is like that of the dog: if you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him, he [still] pants. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they will give thought 7:176

Dogs have 78 chromosomes in total, which are organized into 39 pairs. These 78 chromosomes are found in almost all cells of a dog's body, inherited as 39 from each parent. This number is consistent across all dog breeds, as well as in wolves, coyotes, and jackals.
